Course Overview
This new class is geared toward Licensed Site Remediation Professionals and others involved in investigating how historical petroleum hydrocarbon contamination has impacted environmentally sensitive natural resources. It starts with a regulatory approach and focuses on the entire life cycle of when petroleum is released to arriving at ultimate clean-up goals. Your instructors will be a team of professionals with decades of experience in environmental investigations and remedial action experience.

Meet Your Instructors
Paul Bovitz, Kleinfelder
Paul Bovitz is a Senior Project Manager at Kleinfelder. His core knowledge and skill areas include: Wetlands Restoration, Ecological Risk Assessment, Remedial Investigations, NEPA, Green Ports, Strategic Planning, Operations, Federal Contracting, Natural Resources Management, and Financial Analysis. He is a member of the Licensed Site Remediation Professional Association of New Jersey, Society of Wetland Scientists, Association of Energy Engineers, and Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry. He serves as an acting member of the New Jersey Governor’s Science Advisory Board, Ecological Sciences Committee and formerly served on the Comparative Risk Analysis Panel of the NJDEP. His educational background includes a BS in Wildlife Biology from Colorado State University, an MS in Ecology from Rutgers University, and an MBA from Rutgers Business School.

This online course will be delivered via Zoom.
Equipment you will need to access this training:
- A computer, tablet, or smartphone
- Microphone is not necessary (all students will be muted on entry; you can use the “chat function” to type your questions and interact with the instructor)
- Webcam is optional, but not necessary
- Speaker is optional but not necessary (you will be able to listen to the presentation by dialing in on your phone if your computer does not have a speaker)
