The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) requires that anyone planning to sit for an industrial (N license) examination, take and pass a 90 hour Industrial Waste Treatment course.
Specific topics include:
Biological treatment regulations
NJDEP rules and regulations governing industrial treatment
Physical and chemical treatment
Industrial waste characteristics and treatment
Math and calculation reviews
Plant safety and
Sludge treatment, residuals management and solids handling.
The theory and science behind each topic will be explained and accompanied by examples of practical applications in the field. The class will consist of 30 three-hour sessions which meet from 6:00 to 9:00 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings on the Cook College Campus in New Brunswick, NJ.
This course will provide up to a maximum of 90 TCHs for any currently licensed wastewater operator.
