Meet Your Instructor
Vance Brodbeck

Vance currently serves as the Learning and Development Manager for Middlesex Water Company, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the water utility industry. Prior to his current role, he spent 14 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator with MWCO before transitioning into training, learning, and development. Vance leverages his deep knowledge of industry operations, safety standards, equipment, and best practices to enrich OCPE’s Rigging and Hoisting Safety course. His enthusiasm for teaching and commitment to helping others expand their skills provide an engaging and practical perspective that enhances both the curriculum and its delivery.

The most recent offering of Rigging and Hoisting Safety was approved for 0.6 Rutgers CEUs (6 contact hours), as well as the following credits from professional organizations. We will reapply for similar credits the next time the course runs, but we cannot guarantee credit approval for future offerings.

NJ Certified Public Works Managers (CPWM): 5 Technical Contact Hours
NJ Drinking Water and Wastewater Operators: 6 TCHs SAFETY
Please note: Under NJDEP regulations, only one-third (1/3) of the total number of TCHs needed to maintain your license can be associated with courses or events which have been approved by NJDEP as safety programs (i.e., those with course approval numbers ending in “1”).
