Course Overview
Are you often creating presentations for school, work, or volunteer opportunities? Are you ready to upgrade your basic presentation and take full advantage of all of the features Microsoft PowerPoint offers?
This course is for individuals interested in creating compelling, interactive presentations on Microsoft PowerPoint. This course delves into adding advanced functions such as: animations, transitions, sounds, and embeding videos. Unlock the full potential of PowerPoint and captivate your audience.
Performance Objectives:
By the end of this course, students will be able to perform the following skills:
- Replace traditional bars with 3D shapes
- Utilize transitions between slides
- Add sounds and audio to presentations
- Embed videos, GIFs, images, hyperlinks and more
- Manipulate images
- Utilize and save fonts
Prerequisites
- Completion of Microsoft PowerPoint – Level 1 and/or the ability to perform all Level 1 Performance Objectives.
- A laptop or desktop computer with mouse is required (no trackpads) due to the types of operations practiced.
- High-speed internet access, webcam (internal or external), microphone, and speakers/headphones (call-in option available for audio) are required.
- Participants must have Microsoft PowerPoint available on their PC/Mac.
- Users should have a basic understanding of keyboard and mouse use, and an overall understanding of computer file management.
- All should be able to download email attachments to their computers, save them in organized folders, and navigate back to those files when needed.
- Prior experience with Zoom video-conferencing will be helpful, although not required.
Course Format
This will be a live, online, interactive course using the Zoom video conferencing platform. Students should be prepared to have their webcams turned on, and microphones and speakers enabled. A call-in option is available for audio in lieu of microphone and speakers. The instructor may ask you to unmute to speak, or ask for feedback in the Chat. You will be following along with the instructor and will be doing exercises on your own computer.

Anne Marie DelPrincipe
Anne Marie DelPrincipe is a technically skilled training specialist with an emphasis in corporate training and specialized end-user computing. Known for accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness in managing training for diverse industries, Anne Marie is also a personable instructor with a proven record of helping workshop participants to achieve results. She has strong, hands-on technical training and consulting experience at all levels of the organization including upper management. In particular, Anne Marie has extensive experience in compiling training manuals; creating effective training spreadsheets and captivating presentations; and conducting executive presentations/seminars. Anne Marie earned her BA in Computer Information Systems and MBA in Management Information Science.
