Eric Harshman, a U.S. veteran and graduate of the Rutgers Two-Year Turf Certificate Program, has found career success in multiple sports turf management and grounds management roles.
After discovering a passion for turf while helping out at his in-laws’ golf course, Harshman used his GI Bill® education benefits to attend Rutgers Professional Golf Turf Management School.
Reflecting on his experience in the Rutgers Two-Year Turf Certificate Program, Dall said, “Going to class every day was like opening a new present on Christmas morning.”
A summer maintenance job at Piney Branch Golf Club when he was 16 years old was just the beginning for Mark Jones, Assistant Superintendent at Baltimore Country Club.
Jones completed both the Three-Week Turf Course and the Two-Year Certificate Program at Rutgers and credits the programs with preparing him for a successful turf management career.
